Bronxville, NY - Rommel puts up 19 as Clippers fall to Bloomfield
The Clippers scored first in their second CACC bout with the Bloomfield College Deacons. The Deacons answered back with several points shutting down the Clippes offense. As the Deacons charged ahead the Clippers fell almost stagnate for the rest of the first half. The Clippers trailed by twenty-two (39-17) as they headed into intermission.
The Clippers attempted to mount a comeback in the second half. With shooting almost twice as well as they did in the first half the Clippers battled tough with the Deacons. The Deacons tough trying to thwart the Clippers offensive moves stayed strong and didn't let up an inch. Though the Clippers played tough they found themselves unable to cut their deficit and they fell to the Deacons 79-51.
Dana Rommel put up five three-pointers and led the Clippers with a total of 19 points. Shari Cordero led defensively nabbing 10 boards on the night.
The Clippers will host Nyack College in their next bout on Thursday, February 4th at 5:00pm.
