Wilmington, DE - Clippers sails hit hard by Lightning
The Concordia College Clippers faced off down at Goldey-Beacom College in a CACC match-up. The Clippers struggled to start the game as the Lightning jumped out to a quick lead. With the Lightning controlling the tempo of the game the Clippers tried to find their way back. With Dana Rommel and Shari Cordero helping the cause the Clippers were able to move back into the game. The Lightning struck back and held a nine point lead over the Clippers at the end of the first half, 28-19
The Clippers pushed back in the second half against the Lightning as they battled up and down the court. As the Clippers worked to overcome their deficit the Lightning battled back and held their lead. Even with Dana Rommel leading the charge with 14 points and Shari Cordero adding a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the game it was enough to overtake the Lightning and the Clippers fell, 59-45.
The Clippers will face off at Georgian Court University next Saturday.
