Men's Basketball
Sophomore - Guard
1) Overall, how did you feel the 2007-2008 Concordia basketball season went?
I feel that the season was an overall success. We upset the 3 seed in the ECC Conference Tournament and lost by only 4 in the semi-finals. I am excited for the next season, I feel we should be able to host a first round playoff game and win the ECC tournament.
2) What improvements do you think the team needs to make to
be more successful next year?
Well, we lost two of out best players in Rich Fields and Lamont Wilson to graduation. Those two will be tough to replace, I think the biggest improvement will have to come on the defensive end. We have scorers, we just need to play better team defense.
3) What did you think about March Madness this
year?
Since I'm a Gonzaga fan, March Madness was a little tough on me. Overall, it was a good year for college basketball. All four #1 seeds made it to the Final Four for the first time, and the championship game was a good close game that was decided in overtime, which is always exciting.
4) How has your experience at Concordia College been so
far?
Being from the West Coast, I have found the East Coast a lot different. People on the East Coast seem in a bit of a rush, as compared to the typical laid-back West Coast individual. I have enjoyed my time at Concordia so far and look forward to next year.
5) How is playing basketball on the west coast, different
than playing on the east coast?
I think the biggest difference in West Coast basketball and East
Coast basketball is the point guard. Around here the point guard
seems to have more of a score first mentality, while on the West
Coast the point guard usual has more of a pass first mentality.
