Concordia Finishes Season at CACC Championships

Philadelphia, PA – The Concordia College Clippers cross country teams were in action on Sunday as they ran in the CACC Championship event at Fairmount Park. In the final race of the season, the men finished 11th out of the 11-team field while the women finished 13th out of a 13-team field.

In the women's 5K race, Shelley Monahan (Exeter, RI) finished 51st overall at 24:34. Katherine Spreitzer (New York, NY) came in second place for the team with a time of 30:50. 

Jasmine McDonald (Inglewood, CA) finished third for the Clippers with a solid time of 32:10. Placing fourth was Arafat Omidiran (Nigeria) with a time of 33:58 while Rita Boateng (Bronx, NY) finished at 34:27 rounding out the field.

In the men's 8K race, Wendall Cory Brown (District Heights, MD) led the Clippers with a time of 33:08 placing 54th overall while Corey Grosskopf (St. James, NY) finished behind him at 35:02.

Tamas Dobratka (Ada, Serbia) finished third for Concordia at 36:39 while Daniel Koehler (Glendale, NY) and Martin Miedzowicz (Montevideo, Uruguay) rounded out the times at 37:35 and 39:03 respectively.

With the season over, the men's team ran in a total of five races while the women ran in six races. Both teams had solid seasons and will look to improve next year and compete again for the CACC championship title.
