Gemeda leads Clippers at Highlander Invitational

The Clippers women's cross-country team ran at the Highlander Invitational at Branch Brook Park in New Jersey on Sunday.  The Clippers finished in 12th overall with freshman Yodit Gemeda leading the team.

Gemeda came in first for the Clippers posting a 5k time of 23:42. 

Following Gemeda just a few spots behind was Liz Garcia who improved her time by almost a minute.  Garcia finished the race with a time of 24:37. 

Cristhal Carrero finished third for the Clippers improving her time by by two minutes.  Carrero raced acrossed the line at 25:27. 

Rita Boateng came in next for the Clippers as she beat last week's time by over eight minutes.  Boateng posted a time of 25:43 for her run. 

Jennifer Stefankiewicz and Kenisha Masters came across the finish line back to back with times of 27:27 and 28:02 respectively.

Finishing out the Clippers line-up were Leana Mohabir and Gabriella Wieczorekwith times of 30:20 and 33:01.

The Clippers will next take to the St. Joseph's College Cross-Country Invite on Saturday, October 23rd.
