Women's Cross-Country runs at Fordham Fiasco to open season

The Clippers women's cross-country kicked off their 2010 season at the Fordham Fiasco held at Van Cortlandt Park.

Newcomer Rita Boateng led the Clippers in their first meet with a time of 24:44.  Liz Garcia, a veteran runner for the Clippers, came in next for the Clippers on the course with a 5k (3.1 mile) run time of 25:58.  Freshman Yodit Gemeda came in thirdfor the Clippers a few minutes later with a time of 29:07.  Cristhal Carrero, came in next for the Clippers with a 29:45 run.  Kenisha Masters, a former soccer player, and Leane Mohabir finished out the Clipper line-up with a 30:00 and 32:00 runs. 

With all runners completing the course the Clippers finished 18th as a team. 

The Clippers will run next Saturday, September 18th at the L.I.U. C.W. Post Invitational.
