Clippers Women's Cross-Country moves up in times at Belmont Classic

The Clippers women's cross-country team hit the Belmont Plateau again yesterday as they ran at the Belmont Classic.  The Clippers finished 12th among 13 teams improving their times and place from the Philly Metro. 

The Clippers were led by Liz Garcia who improved her time at the Belmont by 1:03.  Garcia came into the finish line with a 5k run of 25:31.  Jennifer Stefankiewicz came in second for the Clippers also improving her time.  Stefankiewicz finished with a 27:12 run improving 2:34.

Cristhal Carrero finished third for the Clippers coming in with a 27:40 race.  Kenisha Masters improved her time by 1:46 giving her a finishing time of 29:32.

Rita Boateng improved the most as she finished fifth for the Clippers with a time of 33:46.  Boateng improved by 6:47 from last weeks time at Belmont Plateau.

Gabriella Wieczorek completed the Clippers line-up as she posted a 35:41 time.  Wieczorek improved as well, boosting her time up by 5:16. 

The Clippers will look to improve once again next week as they head to the Highlander Invitational on Sunday, October 10th.
