Women's Cross Country Takes 4th at Stevens Invite

Jersey City, NJ - Junior Emily Ringelberg (Pinetop, AZ) ran her best race of the season thus far, finishing in 4th place overall to help the Clippers to a 4th place finish yesterday at the Stevens Institute of Technology Invitational at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ.

Ringelberg finished the 4k race with a time of 17:44.26. The top three finishers all ran for Stevens tech. melissa Franzese crossed the finish line first with a time of 15:45.03. The next two runners, Shanna Beairsto and Carolyn Brady of Stevens Tech, came in at 16:34.34 and 17:31.77, respectively.

 

 

Sophomore Lizdelly Garcia (Pawling, NY) and junior Cristhal Carrero (Tuckahoe, NY) were the next Clippers to finish the race. Garcia ran a time of 21:07.33, good for 15th place, while Carrero came in 18th place with a time of 21:35.29. Senior Dyamond Garcia (New York, NY) ran the race with a time of 26:47.57, finishing in 33rd place and junior Darcelle Telemaque (Brooklyn, NY) finished a minute later at 27:44.34 in 36th place.

Rounding out the Clipper roster, junior Cherise Moreland (Queens, NY) in 38th place (28:33.16), senior Giiton Neor (Providence, RI) in 42nd place (33:01.31) and senior Stephanie Jean (Spring Valley, NY) in 43rd place (35:28.22).

Essex County Community College, New Jersey City University, Lehman College, St Joseph's College - Brooklyn, John Jay College, Bergen County Community College, Concordia College, The College of New Rochelle, Old Westbury College and host Stevens Tech all participated in the event.

Concordia will next compete in the Lehman Lightning Invitational on Sunday, October 5th at Van Cortlandt Park.
