Clippers Compete in Lehman Invitational
Bronx, NY - The Concordia College women's cross country team competed traveled to Van Cortlandt Park today and competed in the Lehman Lightning Invitational.
A total of 12 colleges competed in the 5k race. Some familiar teams were ECC members Queens College, University of Bridgeport and St. Thomas Aquinas College. Pace University and Dominican College were two other Division II schools that competed in the race. Rounding out the field were St. Joseph's College, Purchase College, the College of New Rochelle, Yeshiva University and host institution, Lehman College.
Junior Emily Ringelberg (Pinetop, AZ) finished the 5k race in a time of 22:32.09, good for 11th place overall. Sophomore Lizdelly Garcia (Pawling, NY) came in 35th place with a time of 26:48.32. Also crossing the finish line for Concordia was junior Darcelle Telemaque (Brooklyn, NY) with a time of 32:40.30, Giitou Neor (Providence, RI) at 1:01:45.32 and Stephanie Jean (Spring Valley, NY) at 1:01:57.91.
The Clippers will travel to Newark, NJ on Sunday, October 12th to compete in the NJIT Highlander Invitational at Branch Brook Park. The race will begin at 10:30 AM.
