Ringelberg Paces Clippers at Highlander Invitational
Newark, NJ - Junior Emily Ringelberg (Pinetop, AZ) paced the Clippers with a 21:54 time at the 5th Annual Highlander Invitational hosted by the New Jersey Institute of Technology at Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ. The time of 21:54 is a season's best for Ringelberg, who has improved her time with each race so far this season.
Sophomore Lizdelly Garcia (Pawling, NY) was the next Clipper to cross the finish line in 38th place with a time of 25:10. Garcia also finished with her fastest time of the season so far by almost 2:30.
Senior Dyamond Garcia (New York, NY) came in 60th for the Clippers with a time of 33:42.
The Clippers finished 8th out of 8 NCAA Division II and III teams in the 5k race. Stevens Institute of Technology, John Jay College, Mount Saint Vincent College, Lehman College, New Jersey City University, SCCC and CIA all participated in the annual event.
Concordia will travel to Cunningham Park in Queens, NY on Sunday, October 19th to run in the St. John's Fall Festival. The race will begin at 9:30 AM.
