Women's Cross Country Runs in Fall Festival
Queens, NY - The Concordia College women's cross country team competed in the St. John's University Fall Festival yesterday at Cunningham Park in Queens, NY.
The Clippers were once again led by junior Emily Ringelberg (Pinetop, AZ), who finished the 4k race in 16:21.93. Ringelberg's previous best time in a 4k race was 17:44.26 at the Steven's Tech Invitational back on September 26th in Jersey City, NJ.
Sophomore Lizdely Garcia (Pawling, NY) crossed the finish line at 18:39.21, also beating her previous best time of 21:07.33 at the Stevens Tech meet.
Four other Clippers also finished the race. Senior Dyamond Garcia (New York, NY) came in at 24:29.95 and Stephanie Jean (Spring Valley, NY) came in a minute later at 25:32.85. Senior Giitou Neor (Providence, RI) was right on the heels of Jean, finishing at 25:37.06 and junior Darcelle Telemaque (Brooklyn, NY) crossed the line at 31:45.95.
The Clippers will next compete in the East Coast Conference Championships on Saturday, October 25th at Sunken Meadow Park.
