New York City native Patrick Dietz joins the Concordia Clippers coaching staff this year as its assistant coach. Dietz brings to the program experience as both a collegiate player and coach. He has been actively involved in the New York City volleyball community since 1994 coaching in various colleges, high schools and clubs.

Most recently, Dietz led the Yellow Jackets of the New York City College of Technology men's and women's volleyball teams (2005-2007).  During his tenure, he led both programs to better their records by 150%.  Prior to City Tech, he served as the head coach at the Mount St. Vincent College in Riverdale. In his three seasons as men's coach (2003-05), he led the Dolphins to the NECVA quarterfinals (second round) and a top-15 National Ranking every year. In the fall of 2004 Coach Dietz stepped in as the interim women's Head Volleyball Coach at Bloomfield College for the season, an NCAA Division II school in the CACC North Division.

Patrick Dietz played on the first two City Tech varsity men's volleyball teams in 1999 and 2000. In his second season Dietz led the Yellow Jackets and the CUNY Athletic Conference in three statistical categories (kills per game, digs and aces) and set the benchmark in NCAA Division III in each. He also led City Tech to the CUNY and NECVA (North East Collegiate Volleyball Association) playoffs at the conclusion of each of those seasons.

A graduate of Far Rockaway High School, Dietz played both volleyball and football.  The Seahorses volleyball team posted a flawless league record, and advanced to the PSAL (Public School Athletic League) second round of the Championship Tournament.

Patrick Dietz continues to reside in Far Rockaway.  He holds a degree in Graphic Design and Print Management at the New York College City College of Technology, and is currently a certified personal trainer through AFAA (Aerobic and Fitness Association of American).
