Albany, NY - Clippers fall in three to St. Rose
The Clipper volleyball team traveled to Albany, New York to face
off against non-conference challenger the College of St.
Rose.
The first set saw the Clippers struggles as they tried to stay with
the College of St. Rose. The Clippers tried to put the pieces
together but were unable to and dropped the first set 25-8.
The second set saw a different side of the Clippers as they took the early lead. Amanda Margedant, Chelsea Zurcher and Olivia Thompson took the service lead and pushed the Clippers up to a 10-5 lead. The College of St. Rose pushed back at that point and reclaimed the lead and took the game 25-14.
The Clippers fought hard in the third set as they tried to get back in the match. Unfortunately the College of St. Rose pulled the reins in and quickly took the third set and the match.
Amanda Byrd led the Clippers defensively with 8 digs as Olivia
Thompson produced three aces for the match.
The Clippers will travel to the University of Bridgeport this Thursday for a 7:00pm game.
