Rindge, NH - Clipper Volleyball has tough time at the Franklin Pierce Tri-match
The Concordia College (NY) volleyball team traveled to New Hampshire for a tri-match against host Franklin Pierce University and Merrimack College.
The Clippers took on Franklin Pierce first for their double header. The Clippers were able to hang with Franklin Pierce throughout the first set but came up just short and dropped the first set 25-18. As the Clippers headed into the second and the third set the Franklin Pierce serve got tougher. The Clippers were unable to break the service game and dropped the match in three sets.
The Clippers were then set to face off against Merrimack College. As the first set flew by the Clippers were unable to work the kinks out of the system and found themselves quickly down two sets to Merrimack College. The Clippers were able to find their way in the third set climbing their way back but it was unfortunately too late and the Clippers dropped another heart breaker.
Amanda Margadent led with 19 assists and 10 digs while Courtney
Hanson produced 7 kills for the Clippers.
The Clippers will open up their CACC schedule and their home stand this Tuesday, September 15 at 7:00pm against Dominican College (NY).
