Nyack, NY - Thompson leads with 9 kills but Clippers fall to Warriors
The Clippers women's volleyball team headed to do battle with the
Nyack College Warriors. The Clippers looked to even the
season series out with the match-up. The Warriors took the
early lead in the first set. The Clippers worked to climb
back under the service of Courtney Hanson but came up just short in
the first set.
The Clippers turned the tables a little to start the second set as they were the ones with the early lead. The Warriors charged back and took command of the momentum. The Clippers soon found themselves down two sets in the match.
The Warriors jumped to the quick lead once again in the third set and stretched it to 11 points. With the Clippers fighting hard to get back into the set the Warriors were waiting and to shut them down. The Warriors took the third set and the match.
Olivia Thompson led offensively for the Clippers with 9
kills. Courtney Hanson followed behind with 7 kills.
Amanda Byrd dug up 14 for the Clippers as Amanda Margedant had 17
set assists.
The Clippers will head to Post University this Thursday for a 7:00pm game.
