Caldwell, NJ - Clippers fall hard to Cougars
The Clippers traveled to Caldwell College tonight for the second half of the season series between the two teams. The Caldwell College Cougars dominated the first set as the Clippers, only playing with six, struggled to stay on serve. The Cougars took set one 25-9.
The Clippers battled across the net with the Cougars to start set number two but fell behind soon thereafter. The Cougars took a comfortable lead that the Clippers were just unable to catch up to. The Clippers dropped set two 25-16.
The Cougars took an early lead in the third set over the Clippers. The Clippers started to battle back cutting their lead down to five but could not push farther than that and dropped the third set and the match.
Alicia Oberle and Olivia Thompson led on the offensive for the
Clippers each with 5 kills. Amanda Margedant added another 11
set assists for the match.
The Clippers will host Chestnut Hill College this Saturday, October 31st at 1:00pm for the last home game of the season.
