Bronxville, NY - Cougars too much to handle for the Clippers
The Clippers hosted the Caldwell College Cougars in a Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference match. The Clippers started
off in the first set with the early lead. As the Clippers
continued to stay ahead the Cougars slowly moved in to stake their
claim. The Cougars then started to the Clippers momentum
down. The Clippers unfortunately fell in the first set
25-14.
The Clippers took another lead in the second set. The Cougars
came roaring back but the Clippers were not backing down. The
Clippers hung tough with the Cougars as the set moved closer to the
finish line. The Clippers couldn't hold on at the net and
fell in the second set, 25-20.
The third set was a struggle for the Clippers against the Cougar serve and dropped the set and the match.
Chelsea Zurcher led offensively for the Clippers with 6 kills
followed by Olivia Thompson and Courtney Hanson each with 5
kills. Amanda Margadent produced 19 set assists while Amanda
Byrd dug up 10.
The Clippers will travel to Holy Family University this Saturday, October 3 for a 12:00pm match.
