Waterbury, CT - Clippers sink under Eagles wings

The Clippers faced off with the Post University Eagles last night.  The Clippers went toe to toe with the Eagles in the first set.  Each team had seven kills in the set.  The Clippers and Eagles were neck in neck but the Eagles just edged the Clippers out to take the first set.

The second set was more of the same as each team produced the same amount of kills.  The Clippers continued to play well against the Eagles but hit a snag as the Eagles went ahead.  The Eagles took the second set away from the Clippers and took the 2-0 lead. 

The Clippers continued work together and play hard but the Eagles were able to finish out the match in straight sets. 

Chelsea Zurcher led offensively for the Clippers with 7 kills.  Amanda Margedant had double-double with 16 set assists and 10 digs.  Amanda Byrd led defensively with 12 digs for the Clippers. 

The Clippers will host Wilmington University on Saturday for a 1:00pm game.
