2009 Volleyball Schedule Announced
Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College volleyball team has announced their schedule for the 2009 season. The Clippers will compete in 26 matches this season, 9 of which will be played at the Meyer Athletic Center.
The Clippers kick-off the season on August 27th in a tri-match at Southern CT State University and the New York Institute of Technology.
Concordia will begin the month of September in Albany, NY against NE-10 member the College of Saint Rose and in Bridgeport, CT against the University of Bridgeport. The Clippers will then travel to Rindge, NH for another tri-match with Merrimack College and the host Ravens of Franklin Pierce University before their first home contest against now fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) member Dominican College.
Concordia will compete in the CACC North Division, which consists of Bloomfield College, Caldwell College, Dominican College, Felician College, Nyack College and Post University. The Clippers will compete both home and away against North Division opponents and once a year versus South Division teams. The South Division of the CACC consists of Chestnut Hill College, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacon College, Holy Family University, Philadelphia University, University of Sciences in Philadelphia and Wilmington University.
The CACC Volleyball Tournament begins on Tuesday, November 10th. The winner of the 8-team tournament receives an automatic berth into the NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Tournament later that month.
