Clippers Fall to Golden Lions 3-0
Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College volleyball team was defeated by the Golden Lions of Dowling College 3-0 tonight at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY. Set scores wer 20-25, 15-25 and 13-25.
Freshman Amanda Margedant (La Habra Heights, CA) finished with 5 kills and a match high 11 digs for the Clippers. Freshman Juliann Gillespie (Clarkston, MI) finished with a team high 6 kills. Freshman setter Jaymee Wise (Woodbridge, CA) had 11 assists and 4 service aces on the night.
For Dowling, Patricja Klekotka led all attackers with 12 kills and Maja Potpara added 10 kills. Jovanna Rodriguez tied Margedant with 11 digs for the match.
The Clippers lose their second straight match and fall to 2-7 overall and 0-2 in the East coast Conference. The Golden Lions improve to 7-3 overall and 2-0 in ECC play.
The Clippers will travel to Brookville, NY on Tuesday, September 16th to take on the Pioneers of C.W. Post in an ECC match-up. First serve is set for 7:00 PM.
