Volleyball Participates in Wildcat Invitational
Wilmington, DE - The Concordia College volleyball team traveled to Wilmington, DE to play in the Wildcat Invitational Tournament this past weekend. Although the Clippers fought hard, they dropped all four of their matches in the 2-day event.
The Clippers opened up the tournament with a 22-25, 23-25, 14-25 loss to Nyack College. Later in the day, Concordia fell to the Warriors of East Stroudsburg University. Game scores were 15-25, 16-25, 8-25.
On day two, the Clippers went up against the Rams of West Chester University. The Rams came out victorious by scores of 25-8, 25-13, 25-13. In the final match of the tournament, the Clippers took on the host Wildcats of Wilmington University. In a hard fought contest, the Clippers fell 19-25, 14-25, 24-26 to conclude the tournament.
Sophomore libero Amanda Byrd (Clarkston, MI) was named to the All-Tournament team for her outstanding defensive play.
