Volleyball Schedule Released

Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College volleyball team has released its 2008 schedule, as announced by the Athletics Department today. The Clippers will begin the 2008 campaign against the Warriors of Nyack College on Friday, August 29th at the Wildcat Invitational in Wilmington, DE. The Clippers will have their first home contest against Felician College on Tuesday, September 9th. Concordia will also travel to West Chester, PA and participate in the 2008 West Chester University Ram Fest against UDC, Holy Family, Kutztown and the host Rams of West Chester University.

Concordia will host 11 matches at the Meyer Athletic Center this season. Along with the home opener versus Felician College, the Clippers will take on Wilmington University and Saint Rose in non-conference action.

The Clippers finished the 2007 season with a 13-13 overall record and 2-7 in the East Coast Conference. The Clippers defense was led by freshman Amanda Byrd (Clarkston, MI), who averaged 3.63 digs per game, good for 7th best in the conference. Concordia placed two players, senior Tiffany Edwards (Baytown, TX) and freshman Maddy Lorenz (Spokane, WA) on the ECC Third Team All-Conference this past season.
