Volleyball Falls to Molloy 3-0
Rockville Centre, NY - The Concordia College volleyball team was defeated by the Lions of Molloy College 3-0 last night in Rockville Centre, NY. It was the second straight ECC loss for the Clippers this week. Game scores were 30-28, 30-28 and 30-27.
Concordia was led by freshman Maddy Lorenz (Spokane, WA), who had a match high 16 kills and 15 digs on the night. Senior Tiffany Edwards (Baytown, TX) and junior Shashawna Ball (San Jose, CA) each finished with 9 kills. Senior middle blocker Amanda Westfall (Cedar City, UT) finished the game with 15 digs and 3 kills and senior setter Shannon Flaherty (Spokane, WA) has 31 assists and 11 digs.
For the Lions, Laura Haynes had a team high 8 digs and Angela Barra added 7 kills. Libero Monika Rodziewicz tallied a match high 18 digs for Molloy College.
The loss drops the Clippers record to 8-7 overall and 0-3 in the East Coast Conference. Molloy improves to 6-8 overall and 1-1 in the East Coast Conference.
The Clippers will travel to Albany, NY on Monday, October 1st to
face the Golden Knights of the College of Saint Rose in a
non-conference match-up. The first serve is set for 7:00 PM.
