Lorenz Claims Fourth Rookie of the Week Award

Bronx, NY - Freshman Maddy Lorenz (Spokane, WA) has been named East Coast Conference Co-Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office. This is the third straight week and fourth overall week this season that Lorenz has either won or shared the weekly honor.

In two matches last week, Lorenz posted a match high 14 kills and 8 digs in a 3-0 loss to Adelphi University. The freshman also had 2 service aces and 3 blocks on the night. Lorenz followed that performance two nights later with a match high 14 kills and 10 digs at defending ECC champion Dowling College.

Lorenz has posted double-digit kills in all but four matches this season and has posted a double-double in 12 matches this season.

Lorenz is currently leading the East Coast Conference kills per game at 4.23, with 385 kills in 91 games played. Justyna Michon of Dowling College is a close second with 4.21 kills per game.

The Clippers will be back in action on Tuesday, October 30th, as they host the Chargers of the University of New Haven. First serve is set for 7:00 PM.
