Concordia Ranked 25th in ITA’s Preseason National Rankings

Bronxville, NY – The Concordia College Clippers women's tennis team have been ranked #25 in the nation and #2 in the East Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in their preseason rankings. The rankings take into account only NCAA Division II member institutions.

Within the national rankings, the Clippers secured the final position as they recently came off their third straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Title. Junior Yuliya Plevako (Astana, Kazakhstan) was ranked in the #49 Singles position after going 8-2 overall for Concordia this fall.

In the East Region, the Clippers are ranked #2 overall, right behind rival Queens (NY) College. Plevako is ranked #3 in the region as CACC Player and Rookie of the Year, Stephanie Puentes (Goldey-Beacom College), is currently in front of her at #2. Puentes handed Plevako her only two losses this fall. In doubles, the duo of Plevako and senior Clara Catanzano (Sete, France) are ranked #4 in the East Region after going 9-1 this fall.
