Oliveira and Roberts got a break point chance. One hit
allowed the pair to earn a break and it was up to them to serve it
out. Oliveira and Roberts pulled out their service game to
take the first match of the day with a 9-7 win.
Yuliya Plevako and Maria Ortiz, at the number two doubles position, were moving along quickly in their match as they found little trouble. With only three games surrendered Plevako and Ortiz sailed to an 8-3 victory.
