Clippers Stay Unbeaten With 9-0 Win Over STAC
Bronxville, NY - Sophomore Somadi Druker (Capetown, South Africa) was a straight set winner to help the Concordia College women's tennis team defeat the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College 9-0 yesterday at the Meyers Tennis Center in Bronxville, NY. Druker remains undefeated on the season, as she teammed with senior Sabrina Hager (Manchester, New Jersey) at #3 doubles to win 8-3. Hager earned her first singles victory of the season, a 6-0, 6-0 win over Sarah Hughes at #6 singles. Junior Celise Sesanker (Scarborough, Trinidad & Tobago) also remains unbeated this year, as she won at #2 singles 6-0 and 6-1 over Alison Reeg and at #2 double 8-0 with partner Tita Kiss (Stamford, CT).
The win keeps the Clippers unbeated on the season at 5-0 overall and 5-0 in the East Coast Conference. St. Thomas Aquinas College falls to 1-7 overall and 1-6 in the East Coast Conference.
Concordia will next travel to Flushing, NY on Saturday,
September 29th, as they will battle for first place in the East
Coast Conference with the Knights of Queens College. The action
gets underway at 2:00 PM
