Several Clippers Garner East Coast Conference All-Conference Honors

(Bronxville, NY) - The Concordia College women's tennis team placed four players on the East Coast Conference All-Conference first team. Freshmen Somadi Drucker (Capetown, South Africa) and Ananda Ferrari (Campinas, Brazil), along with sophomore Celise Sesanker (Scarborough, Trinidad & Tobago) and senior Lenka Hladikova (Humenne, Slovakia) all landed on the first team. Drucker also was named East Coast Conference Rookie of the Year. Head coach Kela Simunyola was named East Coast Conference Coach of the Year, as he led the Clippers to the 2006 regular season title.

Drucker was 8-1 on the season in singles, including a perfect 7-0 mark against East Coast Conference opponents. In doubles, Drucker was also 8-1, going 6-1 in conference play.

Ferrari ended the season with a 6-3 record overall and 6-1 in the conference in singles competition. In doubles, Ferrari posted an 8-1 overall record and 7-1 conference record.

Hladikova finished the regular season undefeated in singles competition, going 8-0. In doubles, Hladikova went 6-1 on the season, 6-0 versus the East Coast Conference.

Sesanker also finished the regular season undefeated in singles competition, with a perfect 9-0 record. In doubles, Sesanker was 8-1 on the season, 6-1 versus conference teams.
