WATERBURY, Conn. - The Concordia College women's soccer team traveled to Post University on Wednesday afternoon for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game against the Eagles. The Clippers were upended by Post, 5-0, at LaMoy Field.
The Eagles began with their first goal of the game in the fifth minute and minutes before the end of the half would knock in their second goal to lead 2-0 at the break. Concordia managed to take seven shots in the half with five being on target.
Post added their third goal in the 57th minute as the final two goals were scored in the 63rd and 64th minutes of play. The Clippers would take six shots in the final 45 minutes of play, with five more on target.
Christina Majdanski made eight saves in her collegiate debut for Concordia as the Clippers were out-shot 21-13 in the game. The Eagles would also hold a 4-2 edge in corner kick opportunities.
Concordia (1-5, 1-3 CACC) will next travel to Salem Int'l on Friday for a non-conference game. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. in Salem, W. Va. as fans unable to attend can follow the action by accessing the live stats link under the women's soccer schedule page on ConcordiaClippers.com.
