The two sides would go into halftime tied, 2-2, but the Lightning would score three unanswered goals in the second half to secure the 5-2 win over Concordia.
In the first half Goldey-Beacom struck first in the sixth minute and added their second goal in the ninth minute to lead 2-0 in the early going. The Clippers would battle back to knot the score at 2-2 after sophomore Hannah Deknikker (Davis, Calif.) scored both goals for Concordia.
