Clippers Drop Conference Game to Griffins, 5-0
Purchase, NY – The Concordia College Clippers women's soccer team faced off against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent Chestnut Hill this afternoon. The Griffins captured their eighth win of the season in a 5-0 shutout victory over the Clippers.
Chestnut Hill's Lauren Riiff (Clementon, NJ) scored three goals in today's game as she now leads the CACC with 15 goals on the season. Lauren Nolte (Wilmington, DE) and Lyss Radetich (Sewell, NJ) also tacked on a goal of their own for the Griffins.
Concordia was unable to find the back on the net in the game but had many great opportunities as they had five corner kicks. The Clippers were able to move the ball well in the second half creating more scoring chances than in the first half.
Jessica Nanan (Queens, NY) recorded five saves for Concordia while Jessica Veazey (Middletown, DE) also made five saves for the Griffins. The Clippers were outshot by a margin of 18-10 in the game.
Concordia (2-12, 0-11 CACC) will play their final road game of the season this Wednesday, October 26th. The Clippers will travel to face non-conference opponent Molloy for a 7pm game in Rockville Centre, NY.
