Takoma Park, MD - Freshman Susan Valencia grabs a hat trick to lead Clippers to a 6-0 win over Washington Adventist
The Clippers Women's Soccer team traveled to Takoma Park, Maryland to open their season up against Washington Adventist University, formerly Columbia Union College.
The Clippers dominated the ball from the first whistle and taking
shot after shot. Sophomore Iyesha Ollivierre knocked in the
first goal for the Clippers just 5 minutes and 33 seconds into the
game with the assist coming from Jullian Talbert.
Six minutes later the Clippers would score again, this time an
unassisted goal by Susan Valencia.
With the Clippers still hot on offense Valencia would score again less than a minute and a half after her first goal. Stephanie Rivas scored the fourth Clipper goal just 20 seconds later giving the Clippers the 4-0 lead. The Clippers would continue to strike the ball well but would be held off from scoring any more in the first half.
With the Clippers still dominating the ball, the second half was still a shooting exhibition. The Clippers though were held off from scoring until six and a half minutes left to play when Susan Valencia would complete her hat trick with the Clippers fifth goal of the game. Five minutes later Jullian Tabert would score the Clippers last goal to give them their first win of the season.
The Clippers dominated Washington Adventist University 6-0. Freshman Susan Valencia led the charge with 3 goals.
The Clippers will travel to Molloy College this Wednesday for a 3:00pm game.
