Nyack, NY - Belgrave scores lone goal for the Clippers in a tough game against Nyack
The Clippers Women's Soccer team traveled to Nyack College today to face off on the field. The Clippers struggled through the first half as the Warriors of Nyack attacked. The Warriors were the first to score in the game as they controlled the offensive movement. Nyack would then score two more times and see one of their players earn a hat trick in the first half alone. As half time approached the Clippers were down 3-0.
The second half saw the continuation of the struggles for the
Clippers as Nyack would again score, this time just a minute and 21
seconds into the half. The Clippers then started to fight
back offensively as they were able to get the ball down the field
and shoot. With a penalty kick awarded to the Clippers, Rhea
Belgrave lined her shot up and put the ball in the back of the net
to give the Clippers their first goal of the game.
Unfortunately the Clippers would not be able to score again and
they fell to Nyack 5-1.
The Clippers will host Queens College this Saturday, October 3rd at 12:00pm.
