Rockville Centre, NY - Women's Soccer comes back into game against Molloy but time runs out
The Clipper women's soccer team traveled to Molloy College to face off on the soccer field. Molloy took control of the game right away as they scored fifteen minutes into the game. The Clippers attempted to fight back offensively but remained on the defensive side for the rest of the first half. At the end of the half the Clippers found themselves down 2-0.
With the second half underway the Clippers saw Molloy score not
once but twice in the first fourteen minutes. Pushing their
way back onto the offensive side the Clippers found a way to score
and avoided the shutout. Rhea Belgrave knocked in the first
goal for the Clippers after Kenisha Masters passed the ball for the
eight yard goal. Soon after Belgrave's goal Iyesha Ollivierre
gets a header pass off of a breakaway from Stephanie Rivas to score
the Clippers second goal. Out shooting Molloy in the second
half the Clippers continued to fight back but time ran out and they
dropped to Molloy 4-2.
The Clippers will open up their conference play this Saturday hosting Goldey-Beacom College at 12:00pm.
