Old Westbury, NY - The Concordia College women's soccer team was defeated by the Bears of NYIT 9-1 yesterday in Old Westbury, NY.

Junior Kenish Masters (Queens, NY) scored the lone goal for Concordia, her second of the season, in the 59th minute on a header off of a corner kick. Junior Rachel Woodland (Woking, England) was credited with the assist.

 

 

For the Bears, Megan Emanuelo scored 3 goals and Mona Lekaj added 2 goals. Jessica Mangiaracina finished with a goal and 2 assists.

Junior Aileen Alvear (Woodhaven, NY) played all 90 minutes in goal for the Clippers, finishing with 5 saves and sallowing all 9 goals.

With the loss, Concordia falls to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in the East Coast Conference. NYIT improves to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

The Clippers will return to action on Tuesday, September 30th as they host the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport at Holtdorf Soccer Field. The action will kick-off at 3:30 PM.
