Women's Soccer Comes Up Short Against Adelphi 2-0

Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College women's soccer team was defeated by the Panthers of Adelphi University 2-0 yesterday at Holtdorf Soccer Field in Bronxville, NY. The Clippers record falls to 4-7 on the season and 0-5 in the East Coast Conference. Adelphi improves to 8-3-1 overall and 3-1-1 in conference action.

 

 

The Panthers got a goal in each half. Kim Volinski scored for the Panthers in the 42nd minute on a feed from Karen Roveto. Adelphi would score again in the 77th minute on an unassisted goal from Danielle Bottaro.

Junior goalkeeper Aileen Alvear (Woodhaven, NY) played brilliantly for the Clippers, finishing with 8 saves.

The Clippers will step out of ECC action on Saturday, October 11th to take on the Lions of Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ. The action gets underway at 1:00 PM.
