Women's Soccer Falls to Bloomfield 7-0

Bloomfield, NJ - Melissa Torzewski scored 3 goals to help the Deacons of Bloomfield College past the visiting Clippers 7-0 in non-conference action yesterday in Bloomfield, NJ. Senior Maura Torres (Queens, NY) had 6 shots on goal for Concordia, while Shereda Ennis (Bronx, NY), Rachel Woodland (Woking, England) and Jullian Talbert (Brooklyn, NY) each had 3 shots on goal.

For the Deacon, Michelle Giuca finished with 2 goals and 2 assists and Jerrica Lavooy had a goal and 2 assists, including the opening, game winning goal at 32:40 in the first half.

With the loss, Concordia falls to 0-2 on the season. Bloomfield improves to 2-3 on the season.

Concordia will have their home opener on Wednesday, September 12th, as the also open up East Coast Conference play against the Panthers of Adelphi University. The game will begin at 3:30 PM.
