Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College women's soccer team was defeated by the Panthers of Adelphi University 8-0 today at Holtdorf Soccer Field in Bronxville, NY.
Denise Auer and Brianne McDonnell each scored a goal and added an assist for the Panthers, who conclude their 2007 season with a record of 12-5 overall and 7-3 in the East Coast Conference. Emily Dunne, Kristin Waldman, Jessica Baisley and Karen Roveto each chipped in a goal for Adelphi.
For Concordia, goalkeeper Mary Darbee (Patchogue, NY) continues to be a bright spot for the Clippers. The junior faced 19 shots, allowing 8 goals and finishing with 6 saves, 3 in each half. The Clippers were out shot 19-2, with freshman Jen Stefankiewicz (Elkhorn, NE) and junior Jullian Talbert (Brooklyn, NY) each finishing with a shot.
The loss drops the Clippers overall record to 0-15. Concordia is 0-9 in the East Coast Conference.
Concordia will conclude their 2007 season on Tuesday, October 30th, as they host the Knights of Queens College at Holtdorf Soccer Field. The game will begin at 3:00 PM.
