Dowling Blanks Concordia 7-0

Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College women's soccer team was defeated by the Golden Lions of Dowling College 7-0 yesterday at Holtdorf Soccer Field in Bronxville, NY. The Clippers were outshot 23-0 in the game. Junior goalkeeper Mary Darbee (Patchogue, NY) finished with 11 saves, her second highest, single-game total of the season.

For Dowling College, Stephanie Cotter opened the scoring 00:16 seconds into the contest. Alex Voorhees had a goal and an assist and Lauren Carbonaro added two assists for the Golden Lions. Seven different Dowling players scored a goal in the contest.

The loss drops the Clippers record to 0-12 overall and 0-7 in the East Coast Conference. Dowling College improves to 13-4 overall and 6-2 in the East Coast Conference.

Concordia will travel to Sparkill, NY on Tuesday, October 23rd to face the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College. The action gets underway at 3:00 PM.
