Clippers End Season With 5-0 Loss

The Concordia College women's soccer team concluded their 2006 season with a 5-0 loss to Felician College today in Rutherford, NJ. The Clippers managed to fire off 9 shots in the game, their second highest total this season. Seniors Jessica Gherardi (Hillsdale, NY), Sara-Jeanine Petrescu (Eastchester, NY) and freshman Ashley Schneider (Bradford, NH) each had 2 shots and seniors Jillian Martin (Dartmouth, MA), Joia Ponticello (Mamaroneck, NY) and Genevieve Pollio (Westhampton Beach, NY) all finished with one shot. Alexis Zedaker (Lancaster, PA) played goalie in the second half for Concordia, as the senior allowed 3 goals and registered 11 saves.

For Felician College, Makenzie Woods had 2 goals and an assist and Jenna Krowl finished with 2 assists. Arianna Beam chipped in a goal and an assist for the Golden Falcons.

With the loss, the Clippers conclude the 2006 season with an overall record of 0-13, 0-10 in the East Coast Conference. Felician College improves to 3-16-1 on the season.
