The Concordia College Lady Clippers Basketball Team earned the CACC 2009-2010 Team Sportsmanship Award. The team earned the award by vote of the Women's Basketball team coaches in the CACC.

Clippers fall in final game of season to the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia
The Clippers had to travel down to the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia due to power and heat complications in the Meyer Athletic Center. The Clippers hit their first three shots to take a 5-0 lead to start the game off. With the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia Devils shifting their game they quickly caught up. The Clippers continued to play hard as they kept the Devils from getting to far ahead of them. With keeping the Devils a short distance away the Clippers found themselves at the end of the half down only nine, 31-40.

Double Header Basketball Postponed Until Sunday
The double header basketball game between the Concordia College Clippers and the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia Devils has been postponed due to the impending winter storm. The game, originally scheduled for February 6th was postponed due to a winter storm was rescheduled for tonight.

Lady Clippers drop to Felician
The Lady Clippers faced off against the Felician College Golden Falcons. As the Golden Falcons started their game the Clippers struggled with their own. The Golden Falcons ran the score up and were leading by 17 just nine minutes into the game. The Clippers finally finding their game, slowly but surely started their move and were able to hold off the Golden Falcons. As the Clippers held the Golden Falcons to just 11 points in the last eleven minutes of the half, they found their way to score. The Clippers closed the 17 point gap down to just 2 points by the end of the first half, 26-28.

Clippers fight hard but just miss to Griffins of Chestnut Hill
The Clipper hosted the Chestnut Hill College Griffins for their senior day celebration game. With the Griffins playing strong from the beginning of the game the Clippers saw themselves quickly behind 17-1. With a surge of energy, the Clippers found their game and made their way back. Though the Griffins pressed the Clippers and continued to score, the Clippers were able to slow the Griffins progress and the Clippers were able to climb out of the 16 points deficit from earlier. With each Clipper adding their points the team cut their deficit down to size by the end of the first half.

Clippers fall to Caldwell
The Clippers took on the Caldwell CollegevCougars in a Pink Zone CACC face off tonight. With the Cougars taking the early lead and the Clippers starting off rough it was sure to be a long game from the beginning for both teams. The Cougars continued to pace their game and their shots all the while the Clippers unfortunately struggled with their own game. The Clippers started to work hard to cut their deficit down by the end of the half but trailed 16-31 when time ran out.

Rommel scores season high 26 as Clippers falter against the Wildcats
The Clippers took one more journey into Delaware as they faced off against the Wilmington University Wildcats. The Clippers started the game unmatched as the Wildcats went on a 13-0 scoring run. As the Clippers eventually hit their stride as they found their opportunities to score and clawed their way back into the game. As Dana Rommel led with 11 points in the first half the Clippers cut their deficit down to just 4 points by the end of the half.

Eagles even the score with Clippers in second meeting
The Clippers headed North to face off against the Post University Eagles. With the Clippers taking the first meeting at home they needed to start off with a bang to take the road game. Shari Cordero gave them a good start tot he game with a made layup. The Clippers then settled in for the battle with the Eagles as the game went back and forth for awhile. Post took the lead with less than nine minutes left in the first half and kept the Clippers at bay. With three ties and seven lead changes the Clippers were trailing 27-31 to the Eagles.

Lady Clippers fall to Nyack in CACC battle
The Lady Clippers hosted the Nyack College Warriors in a CACC match-up tonight. The Warriors kicked their game off with a 6-0 run as the Clippers unfortunately struggled to score. Once the Clippers found their game they fought hard to regain their deficit and take the lead. With the Warriors keeping the Clippers at bay they extended their lead out. The Clippers were down 25-34 at the end of the first half.

Rommel puts up 19 as Clippers fall to Bloomfield
The Clippers scored first in their second CACC bout with the Bloomfield College Deacons. The Deacons answered back with several points shutting down the Clippes offense. As the Deacons charged ahead the Clippers fell almost stagnate for the rest of the first half. The Clippers trailed by twenty-two (39-17) as they headed into intermission.

Clippers fall hard against the Rams of Philadelphia University.
The Clippers headed into the snow to face off against the ever dangerous Philadelphia University Rams. The Clippers fighting hard in the beginning of the game were able to nab a lead over the Rams. With continued hard work from the Clippers they were able to stretch their lead out to eight with 9:27 left in the first half. The Rams turned around from that point and halted the Clippers run as they stole the lead back. The Rams pushed the Clippers into intermission holding a 38-25 over them.

Cordero puts up double-double as Clippers miss against Dominican
A good jumper from Dana Rommel kicked off the Clippers game against the Dominican College Chargers. With the battle begun between the Clippers and the Chargers the game wouldn't take a break until the gym itself hosted a ten minute blackout halfway through the first half. With the lights successfully back on it would be the Chargers who took full advantage of the next few minutes of the game as they took a small three point lead. The Clippers staying on the Chargers heels continued to fight in the battle. The Chargers took another lead before the end of the half as time ran out. The Clippers trailed by five; 24-29 as they headed into intermission.

Clippers slip to Cougars
The Concordia College Lady Clippers headed to Caldwell College for a CACC show down. Fresh off of a win over Post University the other night the Clippers battled hard against the Cougars of Caldwell. With the lead swapping six times throughout the first half it would be the Clippers that would eventually take the lead. The Clippers went on a 14-5 scoring run almost shutting down the Cougars to finish out the first half, 26-18.

Clippers sail over Eagles to earn first win
The Clippers hosted the Post University Eagles tonight in a CACC match-up. The Clippers battled at the start of the game with the Eagles. Though the game seemed a well matched game the Clippers broke away first. With the Clippers taking the lead, the Eagles in turn struggled on their offensive side. As Brittany Binnie was at the helm of the Clippers lead and pushing further away from the Eagles, the Clippers held a 16 point halftime lead; 34-18, their largest lead to date.

The Clippers faced off against the Georgian Court Lions. With the Clippers battling it out at the start of the game with the Lions. The Lions stormed ahead as the Clippers hit some struggles. With the Clippers attempting to get back into the game the Lions were able to keep them at bay. The Clippers headed into half time down 42-22.

The Concordia College Clippers faced off down at Goldey-Beacom College in a CACC match-up. The Clippers struggled to start the game as the Lightning jumped out to a quick lead. With the Lightning controlling the tempo of the game the Clippers tried to find their way back. With Dana Rommel and Shari Cordero helping the cause the Clippers were able to move back into the game. The Lightning struck back and held a nine point lead over the Clippers at the end of the first half, 28-19

Lady Clippers slip to the Warriors of Nyack
The Lady Clippers faced off with the Nyack College Warriors in a CACC match-up. The Clippers scored first against the Warriors. Though the Warriors battled back the Clippers held their lead through most of the first half. As the Clippers held strong the Warriors found their way into the game and stole the lead from the Clippers just minutes before the end of the half. The Clippers attempted to take back the lead but were unable to do so and found themselves down by two at the end of the half, 20-22.

The Concordia College Lady Clippers faced off against the American International College Yellow Jackets in the AIC Classic. With the game underway the Clippers quickly found the Yellow Jackets controlling the game from the very beginning. The Clippers struggled through out the first half as they were unable to make their shots fall. At the end of their first half the Clippers were down 38-15.

Eggink puts up double-double but not enough to take down Mercy
The Concordia College Women’s Basketball team headed to non-conference foe Mercy College. The Lady Clippers started off strong going up 7-0 to start the game. The Mercy College Mavericks came back into the game but the Clippers didn’t let them get far. The Clippers regained their lead with the help of Shelley Monahan knocking down shots. The Mavericks pushed back and over came their deficit and attacked taking the lead by the end of the first half, 37-30.

The Concordia College Women’s Basketball team faced off at Bloomfield College today. The Clippers struggled on the court as they went up against the Deacons of Bloomfield College. With some unfortunate turnovers throughout the game the Clippers found themselves faced with an ever growing deficit.

The Concordia College NY Lady Clippers traveled to Dominican College for another bout in the CACC. With the Clippers continuing to improve they looked to take their game to the next level as they started the game with a 7-0 scoring run. The Clippers maintained a small lead through most of the first half but the Dominican Chargers pressed their way back into the game tightening the reins. With time ticking the Clippers pushed themselves to hold the smallest of leads as they headed into the locker room.

Monahan leads Clippers in close knit game with Golden Falcons
The Lady Clippers opened up their first CACC game hosting the Felician College Golden Falcons. With the Golden Falcons taking control from the start the Clippers fell behind quickly. The Clippers, faced with being down 10-1 to start the game, turned on the after burners and shifted into the next gear fighting their way back into the game. Ten minutes into the game the Clippers were able to over turn the Golden Falcons and claim the lead as their own. From then on it was a back and forth battle between the two teams as both wanted to be on top. By the end of the half the Clippers found themselves just one point down from the Golden Falcons, 31-30.

Rommel scores her 1,000th career point
Senior Dana Rommel, a Staten Island, New York native, scored her 1,000th career point in the Lady Clippers first home game of the season. Before the game Rommel only needed 12 points to hit the illustrious mark in any basketball player’s college career. With 8 points in the first half it was just a matter of time for Rommel to knock down those other 4 points.

Rommel leads with 19 during tough loss in home opener
The Lady Clippers opened up their home season with a non-conference contest with the Bloomsburg University Huskies. The Clippers started their home stand struggling to find their groove on their home court. The Huskies jumped at the chance and took a 17-2 scoring run to open the game up. With less than ten minutes in the half the Clippers found a groove and started to climb back into the game. The Clippers worked to hold the Huskies off from scoring and to continue to fight their way back but would have to go at it in the second half as the Huskies held a 39-20 lead.

Worchester, MA – Rommel puts up double-double but Clippers miss against Assumption The Clippers played the Courtyard by Marriot Classic host school of Assumption College today. Assumption scored the first basket but the Clippers worked together and battled with them. The Clippers struggled to score and Assumption took off with the lead. The Clippers tried to climb back but wind up matching each point in that Assumption put up in the last minutes of the half. The Clippers headed to half time trailing 28-45.

Worchester, MA – Stonehill takes the wind out of Clippers sails The Clippers headed to Massachusetts to play in the Courtyard by Marriot Classic held at Assumption. The game started with Stonehill taking a 16-2 scoring run over the Clippers. The Clippers struggled to get something started through the first half but were unable to and headed to the locker room 48-12.

Monahan hits double-double as Clippers just missed against Livingstone
Lincoln University, PA – Monahan hits double-double as Clippers just missed against Livingstone The Clippers faced off against the Livingstone College Blue Bears from North Carolina in the James A Richardson Tournament in Lincoln University, Pennsylvania today. The Clippers ran off the first five points of the game against the Blue Bears. The Blue Bears turned right around and tied the game up forcing a back and forth scoring run. The Blue Bears then took their largest lead of the half going up 23-17 with 12 minutes left in the half. The Clippers worked hard to cut the deficit down and with a couple of free throws, a jump shot and a three-pointer the game was ties with less than 8 minutes left in the half. The Clippers then took the momentum and nailed a seven point lead minutes later. With the Blue Bears and the Clippers going back and forth tying the game up six times and forcing seven lead changes the first half would be a dead heat at 43-43.

Lincoln University, PA– Rommel leads with 20 in season opener as Clippers just miss to Lincoln The Clippers opened their season up down at the James A Richardson Tournament in Lincoln University, Pennsylvania. The Clippers first opponent would be the host school of Lincoln University. With a few nerves to get over in the first minute of their season opener the Clippers hit their mark first. The Lincoln University Lions showed their mark next. With each team taking their shots the back and forth battle begun. The Lions took the first small lead of five over the Clippers six minutes into the game. After a few minutes of battling Kayla Koch hit a three pointer to tie the game. The Clippers were able to build on their momentum in the next couple of minutes as they went on a 7-0 scoring run with the help of Shelley Monahan (4 points in the run) and Kasey Grisanti (2 points in scoring run). The Lions came roaring back and by the end of the half had tied the game up, 24-24.
