PREVIEW: Women’s Basketball Takes on Wilmington (DE) This Monday
BRONXVILLE, NY – Concordia will travel to face Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent Wilmington University on Monday evening as the two teams will meet for the only time this regular season. Tip-off at Pratt Gymnasium in New Castle, DE is set for 5pm. The Wildcats lead the all-time series 3-1 versus the Clippers since their first meeting during the 1995-96 season.
CONCORDIA VS. WILMINGTON
- Wilmington (DE) won the first game on Dec. 2, 1995, 73-72, in New Castle, DE.
- Concordia has lost two of their three games by less than six points.
- The last time Concordia and Wilmington (DE) met (Feb. 12, 2011), the Clippers won 79-52 in Bronxville, NY. Krystina Agard (Queens, NY) recorded 17 points in the victory which included 11 rebounds to give her a double-double. Concordia out rebounded the Wildcats 54-23 while shooting 50% from the field in the game.

- Picked to finish 6th in CACC North Division preseason poll, currently 5th in the North Division standings.
- Concordia previously fell to Philadelphia U., 100-51, on Saturday afternoon. Tara-Ann Rock (Queens, NY) led the Clippers in scoring with 13 points of the bench which included four three-point baskets. Chanessa Blakemore (Albany, NY) recorded her 13th double-double of the season with a 10 point and a career-high 23 rebound performance.
- Agard leads the team in points per game (17.8), assists per game (2.9) and steals per game (2.2).
- Blakemore is currently 3rd in NCAA Division II with an average of 13.2 rebounds per game, 9th in blocked shots per game (2.9) and 7th with 12 double-doubles according to the national statistics that were released on Feb. 2.
- As a team, the Clippers are 15th in Division II with 5.3 blocks per game.
- In the CACC, Concordia is 2nd in blocks (5.5) while Blakemore is 1st in rebounds per game (13.6) and Agard is 4th in points per game (17.8).
THE WILMINGTON UNIVERSITY WILDCATS (1-16, 0-12 CACC)
- Picked to finish 6th in CACC South Division preseason poll, currently 7th in the South Division standings.
- Wilmington (DE) previously fell to Felician, 46-41, on Saturday afternoon. Cari Callaway led the team in scoring with eight points while Joune Reed came off the bench to record a team-high six rebounds.
- Erin Moore leads the team averaging 7.3 points per game as she also causes the most turnovers per game (3.6).
- In the CACC, the Wildcats are ranked last in field goal percentage (29.2%), free throw percentage (56.9), assists per game (7.6) and points per game (46.4).
