BRONXVILLE, NY – Concordia will travel to battle Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent Bloomfield College on Thursday evening as the two teams will meet for the first time this season. Tip-off at the Bloomfield Gymnasium in Bloomfield, NJ is set for 6pm. The Clippers lead the all-time series 6-5 versus the Deacons since the 1983-84 season according to historical records.

CONCORDIA VS. BLOOMFIELD

• Concordia won their first meeting 91-56 on Jan. 31, 1984 in Bronxville, NY.
• Concordia won the first six meetings of the series and Bloomfield has won the last five since 1990.
• The last time Concordia and Bloomfield met (Feb. 9, 2011), the Deacons won 73-60 in Bloomfield, NJ. Krystina Agard (Queens, NY) led the Clippers with 25 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the field while adding six rebounds, four assists and two steals in 40 minutes of action. Two other players finished in double figures for Concordia.

• Picked to finish 6th in CACC North Division preseason poll.
• Concordia previously defeated Nyack College, 74-72 in OT, on Tuesday evening. Sade Jones (Patterson, NJ) led the Clippers with 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field as she also added six rebounds and four assists. She also hit the game winner at the buzzer with an off balance shot from the foul line. Chanessa Blakemore (Albany, NY) added 19 points and a team high 10 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season.
• Agard leads the team in points per game (17.8), assists per game (3.4) and steals per game (2.6).
• Blakemore is currently 3rd in NCAA Division II with an average of 12.6 rebounds per game, 13th in blocked shots per game (2.6) and 15th with 7 double-doubles according to the national statistics that were released on Jan. 8th.

• Bloomfield previously fell to Dominican College, 66-62 in OT, on Tuesday evening. Emily Hall led the Deacons with 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the field. Lauren Deverin recorded a game-high 12 rebounds for Bloomfield while Ivettlis Castro came off the bench to score 19 points.
• Hall leads the team averaging 12.0 points per game while Vanessa Lamison is the only other player to average double figures for the Deacons (10.6).
• As a team, Bloomfield is ranked 29th in steals per game (12.5) according to the NCAA Division II national statistics released on Jan. 8th.
• In the CACC, the Deacons are ranked 1st in fewest turnovers per game (16.9) and 1st in steals per game (12.2).
