Caldwell, NJ - Clippers slip to Cougars

The Concordia College Lady Clippers headed to Caldwell College for a CACC show down.  Fresh off of a win over Post University the other night the Clippers battled hard against the Cougars of Caldwell.  With the lead swapping six times throughout the first half it would be the Clippers that would eventually take the lead.  The Clippers went on a 14-5 scoring run almost shutting down the Cougars to finish out the first half, 26-18.

Holding an eight point lead the Clippers came out into the second half with the same intensity.  The Cougars however came out roaring to go and quickly destroyed the Clippers lead.  Both teams then battled it out as the lead changed seven more times through the game.  The Cougars forced the Clippers to turn the ball over and were able to capitalize on it and take the game away from the Clippers.  The Clippers slipped 60-73. 

Shelley Monahan and Shari Cordero each put up 14 points and 7 rebounds for the game. 

The Clippers return home this Saturday to face off against the Holy Family University Tigers.  Game time is 1:00pm.
