Lady Clippers share the holiday cheer at The Fountain at Rivervue
On Friday, December 4th, the Concordia College NY Women's Basketball Team went to Tuckahoe, New York to visit The Fountains at Rivervue, which provides housing, hospitality, and health care for mature adults.
The team interacted and entertained about fifteen residents. Each team member began by introducing themselves and getting to know a little bit about each person there. With Christmas right around the corner the team then broke into song, singing Christmas carols based on requests.
With the night finishing up, embarrassing childhood stories were told and gave everyone a laugh.
Senior Jocelyn Martin stated, "It was nice to bring holiday cheer and joy to those who might get lonely around this time of year."
The team and the residents of The Fountains at Rivervue thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and the team plans to visit with them again next semester.
