Senior Dana Rommel, a Staten Island, New York native, scored her
1,000th career point in the Lady Clippers first home
game of the season. Before the game Rommel only needed 12
points to hit the illustrious mark in any basketball player's
college career. With 8 points in the first half it was just a
matter of time for Rommel to knock down those other 4 points.
The second half of the game for Rommel seemed slow as she would score two points in the first minute but would have to wait for her other two. With nine minutes left on the clock Rommel was fouled and sent to the line for two. With the first free throw good the pressure for Rommel was one. She knocked the second free throw down and scored her 1,000th career point.
