Lions Tame Clippers 64-50
Rockville Centre, NY - The Concordia College women's basketball team was defeated by the Lions of Molloy College last night in an East Coast Conference game 64-50 at Quealy Gymnasium in Rockville Centre, NY. The loss drops Concordia to 3-17 on the year and 1-10 in the East Coast Conference. Molloy improves to 16-3 overall and an ECC best 10-1 in conference play.
The Clippers were led by sophomore Bonnie DeFina (Maspeth, NY), who shot 7 for 9 (77.7%) in scoring 16 points in just 19 minutes of action. Junior Dana Rommel (Staten Island, NY) collected 12 points and 8 rebounds. Freshman Kayla Koch (Kings Park, NY) finished with 6 points and 5 rebounds.
For the Lions, Kymira Woodberry scored a game high 20 points and pulled down 14 rebounds. Lisa Abitante added 14 points and 4 rebounds, while Titiana Lopez chipped in 10 points and 4 rebounds.
Concordia will be back in action on Saturday, February7th, as they travel to Oakdale, NY to face the Dowling College Golden Lions in an ECC battle. Earlier this season, the Golden Lions defeated the Clippers 82-61 on December 10th at the Meyer Athletic Center. Tip-off is set for 12:00 PM.
