Concordia Falls 80-51 to Rams

Bronxville, NY - The Philadelphia University women's basketball team opened by scoring the first 16 points of the game and cruised to an 80-51 victory over the Clippers tonight at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY.

Concordia was led by junior Dana Rommel (Staten Island, NY), who scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Junior Gianna Zonghetti (Garrison, NY) posted 8 points and 4 rebounds while freshman Kayla Koch (Kings Park, NY) chipped in 6 points and pulled down 3 rebounds. Sophomore Amanda Eggink (Red Hook, NY) led Concordia on the boards with 9 rebounds and sophomore Kasey Grisanti (Bronx, NY) grabbed 7 rebounds.

 

 

For the Rams, Ashley Gaskins scored a game high 22 points and secured 11 rebounds. Jessica Romano also finished with a double-double, scoring 16 points and pulling down a game high 12 rebounds. Nina Brascetta and Christine Wooding each chipped in 12 points. Taylor Magnus led Philadelphia with 5 assists.

The loss drops the Clippers record to 2-4 overall. Philadelphia University improves to 2-2 on the year.

Concordia will begin East Coast Conference action on Wednesday, December 3rd, as they travel to Old Westbury, NY to face the Bears of the New York Institute of Technology. The game will begin at 5:00 PM.
