Clippers Fall to Warriors 82-51
Nyack, NY - The Concordia College women's basketball team lost an 82-51 decision to the Warriors of Nyack College last night in Nyack, NY.
Sophomore Amanda Eggink (Red Hook, NY) tied a season high with 12 points to lead Concordia offensively. Eggink also had 4 rebounds in 28 minutes of action. Juniors Brittany Binnie (Middletown, NY) and Gianna Zonghetti (Garrison, NY) chipped in 9 points apiece, while sophomore Kasey Grisanti (Bronx, NY) added 7 points and 7 rebounds. Junior Dana Rommel (Staten Island, NY), the second leading scorer in the East Coast Conference, was held to 6 points and 6 rebounds.
For Nyack, Shelly Yount posted a game high 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Kelsy McIntosh finished with 18 points on 6 for 12 (50%) shooting from 3-point range. Khamaria Tellis and Christy Porter each chipped in 10 points. Tellis finished with a game high 22 rebounds for the Warriors.
The Clippers suffered their 5th straight loss and fall to 2-8 on the season. Nyack improves to 7-3 overall.
Concordia will be back in action on Saturday, January 10th, as they travel to Brookville, NY to face the Pioneers of C.W. Post. Tip-off is set for 1:30 PM.
