Eagles Soar Past Clippers 76-52
Waterbury, CT - A well balanced scoring attack that featured four players in double figures help the Post University Eagles defeat Concordia 76-52 last night at the Drubner Center in Waterbury, CT. Concordia falls to 2-12 on the season, while the Eagles improve to 2-12 overall.
Junior Brittany Binnie (Middletown, NY) led Concordia with 13 points and 4 rebounds and freshman Kayla Koch (Kings Park, NY) popped in 11 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 4 assists. Sophomores Amanda Eggink (Red Hook, NY) and Kasey Grisanti (Bronx, NY) chipped in 8 points and 6 points, respectively.
Post University was led by Mallorie Michalak's game high 18 points and 5 rebounds. Michalak was 4 for 5 (80%) from 3-point range and a perfect 6 for 6 from the free throw line. Stephanie Goss added 15 points and 7 rebounds, while Taylor Doyle had 12 points and 4 assists. Elizabeth Johnson finished with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the Eagles.
Concordia will travel to Dobbs Ferry, NY on Wednesday, January 21st to take on the Mercy College Mavericks in an East Coast Conference match-up. The action will begin at 5:00 PM.
